The sweet potato slurry will be pumped into the centrifuge sieve for the starch extraction. Fiber and other large particles are separated from starch. Then the crude starch slurry will be pump to the pressure sieve to separate the small fiber.

The dewatered starch is dried in a flash dryer with hot air. The inlet air temperature is moderate. High temperatures may increase cold-water soluble starch. The moisture of sweet potato starch after drying is normally 12%~13%.
